DESCRIPTION:Second Call for Papers: 2024 KDI-KAEA Workshop, Seoul, August 20, 2024\n \nDate: August 20, 2024\nVenue: TBD, Seoul (In Person Only)\nSubmission Deadline:  May 17, 2024\n \nThe 2024 Workshop jointly sponsored by Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) and Korea Development Institute (KDI) will be held in person on August 20, 2024.\n \nKAEA is soliciting high-quality research papers across all fields in economics with preferences given to those with implications for the Korean economy. There will be three papers from KAEA and two from KDI in the workshop. It is required that the presenters at the workshop will submit their papers to the KDI journal of Economic Policy (http://www.kdijep.org/ ( http://www.kdijep.org/ )). KDI will provide each of the three KAEA presenters with the following: (i) roundtrip economy airfares; (ii) one-night hotel accommodation; and (iii) an honorarium of USD 1,000 and an additional USD 2,000 if accepted for publication in the KDI journal of Economic Policy.\n \nTo be considered, a full manuscript should be submitted. If your paper is selected, it will be considered for publication in the KDI journal of Economic Policy. Please declare your KAEA membership status with your submission. All submissions should be sent to the KAEA organizer, Sokbae Lee, by email at sokbaelee@outlook.com with “KDI-KAEA Submission” in the subject line, no later than May 17th. Acceptance decisions will be made by early June 2024. Only the authors of accepted papers will be notified by email. It is possible that the KDI-KAEA workshop can be cancelled or postponed to next year if there is an insufficient number of submissions.\n \nYou must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for two years (2023 and 2024) to submit a manuscript. Your membership status will be reviewed before an acceptance decision is made and no exceptions will be made regarding the membership policy.
