DESCRIPTION:The annual conference sponsored jointed by the Korea-America Economic Association and the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET, 산업연구원) will be held as follows.\n\nTheme: 한국 경제・산업의 생산성 향상 방안 연구\nDate: July 11, 2017 (Tuesday)\nVenue: Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, Sejong City, Korea\nSubmission Deadline: March 31, 2017\n\nThe KAEA is soliciting high quality papers on the theme, but also will consider papers in the general area of industrial organization which have relevant policy implications. The KIET will award each presenter, who resides outside Korea, of accepted papers an honorarium of KRW 2,500,000 for travel support and hotel accommodation for one night to attend the conference.\nThe deadline to submit a manuscript or extended abstract (700–1,000 words) is Friday, March 31, 2017. Submissions should include JEL codes. Submissions are to be made by e-mail addressed to Vice President Inhyuck “Steve” Ha (iha@wcu.edu). Abstracts of papers, without the full manuscript, will be considered, but preference will be given to full manuscripts. All submitted papers will be reviewed by anonymous referees selected by the KAEA and the KIET. Acceptance decisions will be made by April 15, and the authors will be notified by email.\nYou must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for the previous two years (2016 and 2017) to submit a manuscript. Your membership status will be reviewed before an acceptance decision is made. No exceptions will be made regarding the membership policy.
