The BK21 FOUR Program in the Department of Economics at Seoul
National University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher
position as outlined below. We welcome applications from qualified
candidates with strong research potential.

• Position: BK21 Postdoctoral Researcher
• Field: All areas of Economics
• Number of Positions: 1

2. Qualifications
Applicants must:
• Hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field, or be expected to receive a Ph.D.
prior to the appointment date
• Not have received a Ph.D. from Seoul National University (in accordance with
BK21 regulations)
• Have no disqualifying conditions for appointment under Seoul National University
regulations

3. Required Documents
• Curriculum Vitae (free format)
• Research Statement and List of Publications (free format)
• Copies of publications listed in the research output
• Two letters of recommendation (to be sent directly by referees to the email
address below)
• Ph.D. certificate (or proof of expected completion)
• Certificate(s) of employment (if applicable)

※ Applicants expected to receive their Ph.D. may omit the Ph.D. certificate at the
time of application but must submit it prior to appointment if selected.
※ Successful candidates must submit Bachelor’s degree certificate and (if
applicable) Master’s degree certificate prior to appointment.

6. Salary and Working Conditions
• Monthly salary: KRW 3,000,000 or higher (before tax, including four major
insurances; severance pay separate; negotiable based on qualifications and
research achievements)
• Performance-based incentives may be provided based on research output
• Full-time position (40 hours per week) in accordance with BK21 regulations; dual
full-time employment with other institutions is not permitted
• Initial contract period of one year, renewable for an additional year subject to
evaluation and BK21 regulations

7. Selection Process
• Final candidates will be selected after an interview
• Results will be individually notified via email
• Interview schedule will be announced separately
