The annual meeting of the Southern Economic Association will be held in Washington, DC at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, November 19-21, 2011 (Saturday to Monday). Following the SEA-KAEA tradition, KAEA plans to organize two sessions: one on South Korean Economy or East Asian Economies, and the other on North Korean Economy. I have noticed in the past several new faces attending our sessions every time papers on North Korea were presented. Those who are interested in topics unrelated to the two Koreas are also encouraged to submit papers or one-page paper abstracts.
Members of the KAEA who wish to make a presentation or participate as a session chair or as a discussant at the November SEA-KAEA meetings are encouraged to contact me (Semoon Chang at schang@usouthal.edu or for those in Korea, please use changsemoon@yahoo.com) no later than March 1. All I need is a one-page paper proposal or a sentence indicating your interest to serve as a session chair or a discussant. Submission fees are waived. My understanding is that most papers presented at the past SEA-KAEA sessions have been published, although I tried to accept most, if not all, papers submitted for our sessions.
