The Economic Research Institute (ERI) of the Bank of Korea is seeking economists to conduct research in the above-listed fields. Those selected will be expected to conduct mainly policy-oriented research while also carrying out other central-bank related duties. Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics or a related field, together with strong written communication skills. Salary and position are commensurate with the economist’s background and experience. New Ph.D. applicants will need to complete all requirements for their degrees by the end of September 2014. Senior economists with at least three years of research/industrial/teaching experience are welcomed. Non-Korean citizens are also very welcome to apply, and expected to have the same qualifications detailed above along with excellent English language communication and writing skills.
