Call for Papers: 2024 KREI-KAEA Workshop, Naju-si, June 20-21, 2024

Date: June 20-21, 2024

Venue: KREI, Naju-si, South Korea (In Person Only)

Submission Deadline: April 26, 2024

The 2024 Workshop jointly sponsored by Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) and Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) will be held in person on June 20-21, 2024.

KAEA is soliciting high-quality research papers on the theme of “Commodity Prices and Inflation in the Era of Uncertainty”. This theme is broad and includes general microeconomics papers focusing on the issues of resources and environments. KREI will provide two presenters with the following: (i) roundtrip economy airfares and (ii) one-night hotel accommodation in Naju-si (check-in: June 20th and check-out: June 21st). The workshop will include a field trip on June 21st.

To be considered, a full manuscript should be submitted. Please declare your KAEA membership status with your submission. All submissions should be sent to the KAEA organizer, Sokbae Lee, by email at sokbaelee@outlook.com with “KREI-KAEA Submission” in the subject line, no later than April 26th. Acceptance decisions will be made by early May 2024. Only the authors of accepted papers will be notified by email.

You must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for two years (2023 and 2024) to submit a manuscript. Your membership status will be reviewed before an acceptance decision is made and no exceptions will be made regarding the membership policy. If you want to become a member, please visit https://kaea.org/

Several calls for papers are currently available for KAEA members in June 2024. While you may submit your work to multiple events, it’s important to note that receiving funding beyond covering the actual expenses of visiting Korea for more than one event is highly unlikely.
