[KAEA] Announcement regarding the KAEA Awards

Dear KAEA Members,

We’re excited to share the announcement regarding the KAEA Awards! The MK Award includes a plaque along with a cash gift of $10,000. Each recipient of the Young Scholar Award will receive a plaque and a cash gift of $2,000.

Congratulations to all! We sincerely appreciate your dedication to KAEA.

As always, the awards will be presented at our annual business meeting.

The Maekyung-KAEA Economist Award

Donghoon Lee is an economic research advisor in Consumer Behavior Studies within the Household and Public Policy Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His primary research interests include housing economics, household finance, and labor economics. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Mr. Lee was an assistant professor at New York University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

The KAEA Young Scholar Award

Ryan Kim is an Assistant Professor of International Economics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Before joining the faculty, he received his PhD in Economics from Columbia University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his BA in Economics and Mathematics. His research focuses on the area of macroeconomics and its intersection with international economics and corporate finance.
