The 2025 conference jointly sponsored by Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) and Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) will be held in person on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

KAEA is soliciting high-quality research papers on the theme of “Demographic Transition and Innovation: Evidence and Policy Strategies for Future Economic Growth”. We welcome papers across all applied microeconomics fields, including topics in agriculture, food, resources, climate change, environments, population, and labor. KREI will provide roundtrip economy airfare for two presenters.
To be considered, a full manuscript should be submitted. Please declare your KAEA membership status with your submission. All submissions should be sent to the KAEA organizer, Yoonseok Lee, by email at ylee.kaea@gmail.com with “KREI-KAEA Submission” in the subject line, no later than Thursday, June 19, 2025 (Eastern Time). KREI will make the final selection, and acceptance decisions will be made by late June 2025. Only the authors of accepted papers will be notified by email.

- A full manuscript
- Your CV
- JEL codes (up to 3)
- Your current membership status with the KAEA
To be eligible to submit a manuscript, (i) you must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member in both 2024 and 2025; and (ii) your primary affiliation is at an institution outside Korea. Your membership status will be reviewed before an acceptance decision is made and no exceptions will be made regarding the membership policy. Please note that multiple calls for papers are available for KAEA members in summer 2025. While submissions to multiple events are welcome, funding from more than one event is unlikely.
