Call for Papers (KAEA-KIF-KAFA)
The annual conference sponsored jointed by the Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA), the Korea Institute of Finance (KIF, 금융연구원), and the Korea-America Finance Association (KAFA), will be held as follows.
- Date: May 30, 2018 (Wednesday)
- Venue: Korea Institute of Finance, Seoul, Korea
- Submission Deadline: March 15, 2018 (in US CST)
The KAEA is soliciting high quality papers with no specific theme, but papers dealing with general issues in public finance, monetary policies, macro-finance, financial/capital markets, and banking industry and regulations are also welcome as long as they have relevant policy implications. The KIF will award each presenter, who resides outside Korea, of accepted papers an honorarium (KRW 1,000,000) for travel support.
The deadline to submit a manuscript or extended abstract (700–1,000 words) is March 15, 2018, Thursday. Submissions should include JEL codes. Submissions are to be made by e-mail addressed to Vice President C.Y. Choi (KAEA2018@gmail.com). Abstracts of papers, without the full manuscript, will be considered, but preference will be given to full manuscripts. All submitted papers will be reviewed by anonymous referees selected by the KAEA and the KIF. Acceptance decisions will be made by March 31, and the authors will be notified by email.
You must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for the previous two years (2017 and 2018) to submit a manuscript. Your membership status will be reviewed before an acceptance decision is made. No exceptions will be made regarding the membership policy. Young scholars are strongly encouraged to submit a manuscript. Please visit our website (www.KAEA.org) if you have any questions about the membership.
