Call for Papers: KAEA Workshop at 2027 ASSA Annual Meeting

Paper Submission Deadline: Sunday, November 22, 2026

In addition to official academic sessions at ASSA meetings in Washington, DC (January 3-5, 2027), KAEA plans to hold two KAEA Workshop sessions, in collaboration with Korean Economic Association (KEA), starting at 12:30 PM on January 5 (Tuesday) 2027 at Grand Hyatt Washington.

KAEA Workshops are intended to increase the interaction and exchange of ideas among the participants working on various topics in economics. If you are interested in presenting your work at KAEA Workshops, please submit a complete paper, including two JEL classification codes and your membership status with the KAEA. All submissions should be sent to the KAEA Workshop organizer, Min Seong Kim, by email at kaea.mskim@gmail.com with “KAEA Workshop (2027 ASSA) Submission” in the subject line of the email no later than November 22rd (Sunday). Only accepted papers are to be notified by December 1st.

To submit a paper for the workshop, you must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for 2025 and 2026 at the time of submission. (If you are an annual member for 2026 only, you can pay the annual membership due for 2027 with the submission.) This requirement is waived for KEA members. Please note that these are not official ASSA-sponsored sessions and thus will not be included in the ASSA program book. There is no financial support for the participants. If you submitted a paper for the ASSA sessions and indicated that the paper would be automatically submitted to the KAEA workshops, then you do not have to make a separate submission.
