Dear KAEA Members,

One important mission of the Korea-America Economic Association is to support graduate students who are working hard toward their academic goals.

For this purpose, we are organizing a virtual conference for Ph.D. students who will be on the job market this year.

Please spread the word to your colleagues and students and encourage them to participate.

Selected presenters will be given best job market paper awards and a modest honorarium.

KAEA Job Market Conference

Job market candidates need to practice presenting their work. To help their preparation, KAEA is organizing an online job market conference on two days, November 18-19 (Monday/Tuesday), 7:00-10:30PM EST, 2024.

Those who will be in the 2024-2025 job market can participate in the conference. Three broadly defined sessions will be organized: Micro, Macro, and Econometrics. Each session consists of several parallel sub-sessions depending on the number of participants.

In addition, there will be a Q&A session with recent PhD graduates as panelists. They will answer any questions that participants may have regarding the job market process and share their experiences. All (including non-job market candidates) are welcome to attend this great mentoring opportunity.

• Registration deadline: November 5, 2024. This year we will use Conference Maker and the submission portal is at https://editorialexpress.com/conference/KAEA2024/and the registration will end on November 5, 2024.

• KAEA membership (2024 annual or lifetime) is required if you present your paper; no membership is required if you attend the conference and the Q&A session without presenting your paper.
