The Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Yongcheol Shin (University of York, UK) will receive the 2018 Maekyung-KAEA Economist Award for his outstanding professional achievement. The award ceremony will be held during the Annual Meeting of the KAEA at Marriott Philadelphia Downtown in Philadelphia, at 6:00 pm, on January 6, 2018. Congratulations!
Dr. Yongcheol Shin is currently Professor of Economics at the University of York, and previously held positions at the University of Leeds and the University of Cambridge. He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1992. He has made significant research contributions in the field of econometrics. His research covers both theoretical and applied econometrics. According to the Web of Science, his two papers on testing for unit root, published in 1992 and 2003, have received more than 6,000 citations up to date. He is by far one of the most cited econometricians in the world.
