To the Members of the Korea-America Economic Association,
I am writing to you today to announce the launch of our newly updated webpage, and invite you to visit
the webpage at www.kaea.org. You may see that many awaited updates are done and new contents are
added to make the webpage more informative and functional. To maximize your search efficiency, we
have made the information straightforward, relevant, and up-to-date, and the navigation easy and
simple. We hope the new contents and features will make your visit useful and worthwhile. It is our
hope that our webpage becomes the go-to place to search for information relevant to our members.
We wish this webpage to serve as a venue to make and maintain connections, find potential
collaborators, and build networks for productive research. Moreover, we aim to make this page function
as an effective platform to share ideas, disseminate time sensitive announcements on professional
events and new job openings in Korea, and to provide links to personal webpages of Korean graduate
students on the market. Having such a well-functioning webpage is critical for the association to deliver
its core missions. It is even more important now since most professional events are provided virtually
due to the ongoing pandemic. The KAEA is also planning virtual workshops during this summer, and the
announcements will be sent out soon. Schedules and programs will be posted on our webpage.
We will try our best to update and continue to improve the page. Please visit the page and send us your
feedback. Let us know what to add, what to remove, and what to keep. We are still making updates on
the member list. If you find your information either missing or outdated, please do let us know. This will
expedite the updating process. We need support from all KAEA members in this effort.
I thank all members of the KAEA executive committee for their dedicated work during the updating
process. We also thank the junior KAEA members who willingly reviewed earlier versions of the page
and provided useful suggestions from their perspectives.
Hope all has been well with you and your loved ones during this extraordinarily challenging time.
With best wishes for your health and safety,
Yoosoon Chang
President
