The 2021 KIET-KAEA Joint Conference
July 20 (July 19, US Time Zone), 2021
Call for Papers
The annual conference jointly sponsored by the Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) and Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade (KIET, 산업연구원) will be held ONLINE on July 20, 2021 (evening of July 19, Monday, US Time Zone) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The KAEA is soliciting high quality research papers on the following two topics: (1) Global Value Chains; (2) COVID-19. Strong preference will be given to Industrial Organization (IO) papers. KIET will provide two presenters an honorarium of up to KRW 700,000 each for a virtual presentation. Accepted manuscripts will be published as KIET working papers. Authors are permitted to publish the manuscript later at a journal.
The deadline to submit a manuscript is Wednesday, June 14. Submissions should be emailed to KAEA Vice President Hyeongwoo Kim (gmmkim@gmail.com). We strongly welcome submissions from junior scholars. All submitted papers will be reviewed by anonymous referees. Acceptance decisions will be made around June 30, and only the authors of accepted papers will be notified by email.
You must be a KAEA lifetime member or have been an annual member for the last two years (2020 and 2021) to submit a manuscript. Your membership status will be verified before your submission is reviewed. No exception will be made regarding this membership policy. Please visit our website (www.kaea.org) if you want to become a member.
